Frequently asked questions about the Padaippu app.
Account & Access
How do I create an account?
Download the Padaippu app, tap Sign Up, and enter your name, email,
and a password. You can also sign in with Google or Apple — no password needed.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
On the login screen, tap Forgot Password and enter your registered email.
You'll get a reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.
Can I use my account on multiple devices?
Yes. Your library and reading progress sync automatically across the devices you're signed
into. Padaippu currently allows up to 5 concurrent devices per account.
How do I change my email, password, or address?
Open the app → Profile → Edit Profile. Update your details and save.
You may be asked to re-enter your password for security on sensitive changes.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account, or email us at
pidilworld@gmail.com. We process deletion
requests within 30 days. Transaction records are retained for 7 years to comply with
Indian tax law.
Purchases & Payments
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM), credit and debit cards (Visa,
Mastercard, RuPay), and net banking from all major Indian banks. Payments are
processed securely by Razorpay.
Are there any free ebooks available?
Yes — Padaippu offers a curated selection of free titles. Look for the Free
badge on book covers in the browse and home screens.
Can I get a refund?
Digital purchases (ebooks and magazines) are non-refundable once downloaded, except where
the content significantly differs from its listing — in that case email us within 7 days
of purchase at pidilworld@gmail.com with your
order ID and we'll investigate.

Will I be charged automatically for subscriptions?
If you opt into a recurring plan, your payment method is charged automatically at the
start of each billing cycle. You can cancel any time from
Profile → Settings → Subscriptions; cancellation takes effect at the
end of the current cycle.
Where can I find my receipts?
Open the app → Profile → Purchase History. Tap any order to download
a PDF receipt. Receipts include item details, GST, and shipping address (when applicable).
Reading & Offline
Can I read ebooks offline?
Yes. On the book details screen, tap Save Offline — the file is stored
securely inside the app. You can read it later without an internet connection. Remove
it any time from the same screen to free up space.
Is my reading progress saved automatically?
Yes. Your last-read position is saved continuously and synced across all devices
you're signed in to, as long as you have an internet connection.
What file formats does Padaippu support?
We use the EPUB format, which the in-app reader renders with adjustable font size,
brightness, and reading themes (light, sepia, dark).
Can I share ebooks with my friends or family?
Purchased ebooks are licensed for personal use by the account that bought them and
can't be transferred to other accounts. If you'd like to gift a book, contact us and
we'll set up gifting once that feature ships.
Physical Books
Do you ship outside India?
Not yet. We currently ship within India only. International shipping is on the roadmap.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery times depend on your pincode and our courier partner. Metro cities typically
receive orders in 3–5 business days; non-metro and remote pincodes can take 7–10 days.
You'll see an estimate at checkout.
Can I track my order?
Yes — once your order ships, the courier's tracking number appears on the order detail
screen under Purchase History, and we also email it to you.
What if my book arrives damaged?
Email pidilworld@gmail.com within 7 days of
delivery with your order ID and photos of the damage. We'll either send a replacement
or refund the order — your choice.
Can I change my shipping address after ordering?
Only if the order hasn't shipped yet. Reach out to us right away at
pidilworld@gmail.com with your order ID and
the new address.
Notifications & Privacy
How do I turn off push notifications?
In the app → Profile → Settings → Notifications — toggle off the
categories you don't want. You can also disable notifications system-wide from your
phone's settings for the Padaippu app.
What data does Padaippu collect about me?
